Diseases affect the economic condition of well-to-do people very badly, while for the poor, due to not being able to pay the cost of expensive treatment on time, even a curable disease becomes fatal. In view of the need for timely treatment and the high cost of treatment, the government is running several schemes in which the poor can be given timely relief from the high cost of their treatment. One of these is the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, through which the poor can get relief from the high cost of treatment.
